You Have to Start Somewhere!

Welcome to my Blog! This is something I’ve considered doing for a long time. I’ve finally decided to just do it! Why wait any longer?

Many of you have followed me on Facebook, Twitter, or LinkedIn over the years. One thing that I’ve learned through years of broadcasting and marketing, is that you have to “know your audience”. Typically followers on Facebook, or Twitter, want everything to be “short and sweet”. People don’t want to read through more than a couple of sentences when the are checking out recent posts. Well, sometimes that just isn’t enough for me! So instead of taking up the space on other social media sites, I decided it was time to move some of my longer thoughts over to a platform that is more appropriate for such posts.

What will I write about on my blog? Well, anything is fair game. Overall I want to keep things positive. I don’t intend for this blog to be a place for a bunch of negativity. We have enough of that in the world. I want this to be a place that you look forward to checking out on a regular basis. Hopefully my posts will give you something to think about. Maybe they will even be a conversation starter with friends and family (Imagine that! People actually talking to each other). I’ll also share any news, things that happened in history, special days, tips, freebies, celebrity deaths, or just things I find interesting…and hope you do too.

My hope is to make this a daily blog (Monday through Friday). I’ll have at least one post every day. On some days there may be additional posts, but I’ve set a goal for myself of at least one post per day during the week.

The posts will also be categorized. Hopefully that will make it easier for you to find certain types of posts. I will also try to tag the posts as best that I can, so you can find specific topics or interests. And…the entire blog will be searchable.

I am also making it so you can comment on my blog entries. Once again, I want it to be a place to share positive ideas and thoughts. My hope is that it doesn’t become a place for readers to argue back and forth. We can all “agree to disagree”, but let’s all be adults here. I invite opposing views, but let’s not get mean and nasty with each other.

I look forward to sharing with you in this new platform. We are starting at the bottom and hopefully over time this blog will build up to a great resource for information, thought provoking discussions, and even just some silliness from time to time (we all could use a good laugh).
