Remember Love…

Many of you may remember Andy Holtgreive and the band “Domestic Problems” from WGRD back in the 1990’s.

The boys appeared on “The Rick and Scott Show” many times. The band was one of the most popular local groups back in the late 90’s.

The band still gets together from time to time, but most of the band members have families, and live a different lifestyle from that of being on the road, and performing every weekend.

I happened to stumble across this video just the other day on Facebook. Andy recently wrote a song about a conversation he had with his 10 year old daughter. He explains the song better in the video than I can. With all that is going on in the world today…this song should be heard by everyone…so I’m going to share it here, on my blog, in hopes that many people will get a chance to hear the song and “Remember Love”…

Here is the link to the song: “Remember Love

And for those that want to go for a walk down Memory Lane…here are two of the songs that were requested the most on our morning show…

I’ve always been the kind of person who notices the things other people overlook — strange roadside attractions, forgotten pieces of history, unusual places, odd trends, and the little things in everyday life that make you stop and say, “Wait... when did that become normal?” That curiosity is really what this blog is all about. I’m especially drawn to the stories hiding in plain sight: a forgotten piece of Michigan history, a roadside attraction you’d never know was there, an old building with a story behind it, or some completely ordinary part of modern life that suddenly seems ridiculous when you think about it for more than five seconds. Some days you’ll find a fascinating history story here. Other days I may take you along on a road trip, dig into something weird from Michigan’s past, share an interesting discovery, or simply rant about something in modern life that makes absolutely no sense. I don’t pretend to have all the answers. I just enjoy asking the questions, digging around for the stories, and sharing the interesting things I find along the way. My goal is simple: Keep looking. Keep learning. And keep things interesting.
