A Big THANK YOU!

When I started the “Scott Winters Blog” back on Monday, June 13th, 2016, I had visions of where I wanted it to go. Looking at how things have developed over the last 2 months or so — I am truly amazed.

My goal was to have a blog that maybe a couple of hundred people would read from time to time. It gives me a place for longer posts than what I could typically get away with on Facebook or Twitter. I love to write, and I love to share information with other people — so it just seemed like a good fit.

The “Scott Winters Blog” also gives me an outlet to share some old audio from “The Rick and Scott Show” with former listeners. Over the years I’ve had many requests for different pieces of audio from our show. I actually have many of the requested segments , but I just didn’t really have a good way to share them… Now I do!

So, I sat down to look at the numbers last night. Remember — my goal was to be able to reach a few hundred people…

I can not tell you how grateful I am after seeing the stats! Since the “Scott Winters Blog” started back in mid June, over 10,000 users have visited the blog!! That number exceeds my goal beyond what I ever imagined could be possible. I had hoped to get an average of 100 pageviews a day…some days that number exceeds 1,000 pageviews!

All I can say is THANK YOU! I am truly blessed to have people like YOU that take an interest in what I have to say. I appreciate you visiting the blog on a regular basis. I hope it’s entertaining, and informative, for you as a reader.

If you have any requests or ideas for future blog posts…please send me an email at scottwintersblog@gmail.com — or just reply below.

And once again…I can not THANK YOU enough for your support! I am so amazed at the numbers right now. THANK YOU. THANK YOU. THANK YOU!

I’ve always been the kind of person who notices the things other people overlook — strange roadside attractions, forgotten pieces of history, unusual places, odd trends, and the little things in everyday life that make you stop and say, “Wait... when did that become normal?” That curiosity is really what this blog is all about. I’m especially drawn to the stories hiding in plain sight: a forgotten piece of Michigan history, a roadside attraction you’d never know was there, an old building with a story behind it, or some completely ordinary part of modern life that suddenly seems ridiculous when you think about it for more than five seconds. Some days you’ll find a fascinating history story here. Other days I may take you along on a road trip, dig into something weird from Michigan’s past, share an interesting discovery, or simply rant about something in modern life that makes absolutely no sense. I don’t pretend to have all the answers. I just enjoy asking the questions, digging around for the stories, and sharing the interesting things I find along the way. My goal is simple: Keep looking. Keep learning. And keep things interesting.
